GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION at PAWR-1

PAWR-1 accepts manuscripts ONLY during the period of November to March, after the major Philippine bookfairs. Manuscripts submitted to Ninang J at Wordhouse must adhere to the following conditions:

  1. Submissions must contain the name of the author, or their alias, or pseudonym on the manuscript. Ninang J sends immediate responses in validating the authenticity of the submission and in checking the author’s availability in case of collaboration.

  2. Full manuscripts [not half-written or unfinished] must include a synopsis and an idea of the work’s target market.

  3. The manuscript must be accompanied by the author’s up-to-date resume with contact information.

  4. Proposals do not count as submissions. Theses and dissertation at their raw state as such are not going to be considered.

  5. Manuscripts must be emailed via the available forms found in https://www.ninangjatwordhouse making sure to follow the format below:

    • Use American English spelling in the Word document file

    • Encoded double-spaced in Times New Roman font, 12 pts.

    • Paginate all all submissions properly.

    • See PAWR-1 Standard Contract for permissions for material other than the author’s or those which the author borrowed.

    • Submit permissions for use granted by the copyright holder (of other materials) along with the manuscript.

  6. Manuscripts submitted to Page a Writer must not be under review by any other publisher.

PAWR-1 FEEDBACK

Please allow PAWR-1 three to five months upon submission to evaluate your manuscript after acceptance.

PREFERRED SUBMISSIONS / MANUSCRIPT

PAWR-1 gives priority to manuscripts which are:

1. Book Length Memoir

2. Autobiography

3. Biography

4. Book of Essays or Anthology

PAWR-1 may consider the following within set conditions between author and editor at Ninang J at Wordhouse.

1. Novel

2. Anthology of short stories

3. Tagalog poetry

4. Young Adult Literature

5. Book Length Christian Devotional
